In addition, the WSC also has three honors it bestows upon criminology and criminal justice students:
- The Miki Vohryzek-Bolden Student Paper Award is conferred upon students who, having submitted an original manuscript to the annual, juried competition, are selected as having researched and written the best paper that year. First-place and second-place recipients of this award may also receive monetary prizes.
- The June Morrison Scholarship Fund awards travel stipends to students presenting papers at the annual meeting to help defray the cost of attendance.
Finally, the Constitution of the WSC grants the Board the authority to confer a Special Recognition Award. The Society has exercised this prerogative only twice when it honored Edgar Boyko (in 1997-1998) and Andrea Schoepfer (in 2011-2012).
