We are very pleased to complete the first issue of our third volume of the Western Criminology Review. Once again we are publishing important papers on timely issues in the field.
Ronald Burns examines the role of the media and other agencies in public perceptions of workplace violence. His article highlights the role of varied claimsmakers in the construction of violence at work.
Next, Scott Senjo and Leslie Leip take a new look at the role and effects of therapeutic drug courts on offender violational behavior.
Olga Tsoudis studies the meaning of crime on the island of Cyprus in relation to the individual, family, and community through an examination of media accounts of crime.
Finally, we include the Proceedings of the 27th annual meetings of the Western Society of Criminology in Hawaii.
